1, Can I add intermediate locations to my directions? Yes, you can add up to 5 intermediate locations between the start and end points of any route.
2, What if the pin on the map is in the wrong place? If your business listing is correct but the pin on the map points to the wrong place, send your business listing to webmaster@switchboard.com and explain where the pin should be. Look at some nearby businesses. If the pins are correct, send their listings along with yours.
3, Can I print a map without printing the surrounding text? Most maps have a printer icon that displays the map (and driving directions) in a format suitable for a printer. When you see this icon, click it to print the page. When the page is finished printing, click the Return to Map or Return to Route link. In Netscape, if you right click on the map and select View Image, it will pull the map up on a separate browser page by itself. You can then print that page. In Internet Explorer, right click the map, click Save Picture As, and save the picture to your desktop. Drag it to the browser window (this is the fastest way to open it in your browser), then print it.
4, How do I use the map controls? You can adjust the map to view street-level or national-level detail anywhere in the United States. Summaries of the various controls are available below:

Pan — Use the Pan controls to move the center point of the map to the north, south, east, west, or diagonally. Just click one of the arrows on the edge of the map to move the center in that direction. |
|   | | Zoom — Use the Zoom controls to increase or decrease the scale of the map. Zoom In provides a more detailed map. Zoom Out provides a more general map. You may also click the bars indicating individual zoom levels to jump directly to that level. |
| |
Pan — Use this to control the action that happens when you click on the map. Recenter moves the map so that the point on which you click is the new center of the map. Zoom In increases the zoom by one level while keeping the current center point. |
|   |
Reset — Click this button to return the map to the original center point and zoom level. |

5, How do I use "What's Nearby®" The What's Nearby® feature lets you see businesses in the selected area. When you click on a type of business, such as Coffee Shops, the map will be redrawn with markers identifying the closest Coffee Shops. If you move your mouse over the markers, it will display the name of the business. You can click the marker for more information. Click the Hide icons link to remove the markers. You may click another category to see those businesses. Only one category can be displayed at one time. |
